Slice it, boil it to reduce the salt if desired, then fry it with onions, garlic, and fresh herbs, or add it to cook-up rice, provisions, soups, stews, and other island classics.

Each piece is vacuum packed for freshness and made from a single boneless sirloin tip, making preparation easy with no bones to remove.

Please Note: This product is cured and should be cooked thoroughly before serving. Many Caribbean households also boil or soak the beef before cooking to reduce the saltiness to their preferred taste.

 

Preparation Instructions

Traditional Caribbean Method

  1. Remove the beef from the package and rinse under cold water.
  2. Place in a pot and cover completely with fresh water.
  3. Bring to a boil for 20–30 minutes.
  4. Drain the water and taste.
  5. If you prefer a milder salt flavor, repeat with fresh water.
  6. Slice or dice the beef and cook thoroughly before serving.
